As a consumer of Internet services this can help you determine the quality of your connectivity. As a provider you can research and identify sources of abuse prior to your inclusion in blocklists and prior to receiving formal abuse complaints. Please be aware that all data is presented as is, with no warrantee with respect to accuracy or suitability. Use of this data is done entirely at the users own risk. By using or viewing this data you accept these terms and agree to indemnify BlockAlert from any and all potential resulting damages. With that legalese out of the way, have fun!

SPAMVERTISING: This is the practice of sending E-mail spam, advertising a website. It also refers to vandalizing wikis, blogs and online forums with hyperlinks in order to get a higher search engine ranking for the vandal's website. Spamvertisers insert links to their websites and add keywords of common or related searches.

WHOIS: A utility providing information about who is (whois) responsible for a domain name. This information is publicly available to allow rapid resolution of technical problems and to permit enforcement of consumer protection, trademark, and other laws. Registrars will make this information available to the public on a "Whois" site. However, this information is often wrong, or hidden via a third party provider, by those engaging in spam. Be wary of naively lodging complaints based on public whois information!
